42,000 seats. Four stages. Zero event disruptions.
Ace Seating’s upgrade of the Shane Warne Stand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground stands as one of the most significant stadium seating projects completed in Australia in recent years. Appointed as the exclusive Australian partner for Bluecube, Ace Seating managed the full scope of works — from design and documentation through to installation and responsible recycling of the existing seats — all while one of the world’s most iconic sporting venues remained fully operational.
The Bluecube Centura seats were selected for their durability and comfort, replacing over three decades of wear across the stand. Each stage was carefully scheduled around the MCG’s demanding calendar of cricket, AFL, concerts, and major events, with full seating capacity maintained throughout. A detailed inspection and clean of every section was completed before it was returned to service.
The result speaks for itself. Since completion, maintenance requests for broken seats in the upgraded areas have stopped entirely — a reflection of both the quality of the product and the standard of Ace Seating’s installation.
