The Lauren Jackson Sports Centre, located in Albury, New South Wales, is a world-class multi-sport facility that has established itself as a premier destination for basketball and indoor sport in regional Australia. Delivered for Albury City Council and designed by Centrum Architects, the centre was built by Zauner Construction and represents a significant investment in community and elite sporting infrastructure for the region.
The facility required a seating solution that could deliver both flexibility and aesthetics appropriate for a venue hosting everything from community sport through to high-level competition across five action maple sprung timber basketball courts. To achieve this, a Hussey Seatway TP wall-attached retractable platform was installed alongside two mobile platforms, paired with 1,320 Centura CT300-46 seats across multiple plastic colours — providing durable, comfortable seating suited to the dynamic demands of a busy multi-court sports centre.
The installation was further elevated through a series of premium upgrades. A Nolans Raider carpet deck finish was specified to enhance the overall look and feel of the platforms, LED aisle lighting was incorporated to improve both safety and presentation during use, and VIP seating with cupholders was installed in the front rows of the wall-attached unit to offer an enhanced experience for premium spectators.
This project brought together an experienced team of suppliers — Hussey Seatway supplying the platforms, Bluecube Seating supplying the seats, and Nolans supplying the carpet — to deliver a cohesive, high-quality result for Albury City Council and the broader community.
